A Parallel RealiTEA Party

A Parallel RealiTEA Party & Happenings Troupe

2, Three -Day Durational Performances

Psychedelic Science, 2023 - ongoing. The world’s largest psychedelic gathering.

II.

The Happenings Troupe: An participant ensemble made up of non professional and professional performers, engaged in collaborative research through physical theatre, devising, character embodiment, musical improvisation, and contemplative practice.

Through ensemble-based experimentation, the work investigated presence, transformation, and collective intelligence—drawing from experimental performance lineages, ritual technologies, and expanded states of attention. Operating in the interstices of the the formal conference, the troupe’s actions and staged improvisations meant to serve as a disruptive pause. What is the role of the artist in psychedelic re-emergence?

The project unfolded within the in·cen·di·ar·y vision of psychedelic chaplain and ritualist Monera Mason, whose vision and focus on performance as GIFT shaped the troupe’s inquiry into care, rupture, and the performative politics of re-enchantment.

Experience the convergence of King & The Water Rabbit, who serve not only tea, but infinitely many options.

In collaboration with the Naropa University Happenings Troupe, this participatory performance unfolded at Psychedelic Science 2023 (June 2023), inviting audience-participants into a kaleidoscopic realm of parallel presence and embodied play with exploring identity and choice, over tea.

Audience-participants are invited into surrealist tea ceremony and relational improvisation. encountering the peculiar, the unfamiliar, the ephemeral of the performative, feeling, affective.
