The Happenings Troupe: An participant ensemble made up of non professional and professional performers, engaged in collaborative research through physical theatre, devising, character embodiment, musical improvisation, and contemplative practice.

Through ensemble-based experimentation, the work investigated presence, transformation, and collective intelligence—drawing from experimental performance lineages, ritual technologies, and expanded states of attention. Operating in the interstices of the the formal conference, the troupe’s actions and staged improvisations meant to serve as a disruptive pause. The project unfolded within the in·cen·di·ar·y vision of psychedelic chaplain and ritualist Monera Mason, whose vision and focus on performance as GIFT shaped the troupe’s inquiry into care, rupture, and the performative politics of re-enchantment.
